How it works
RM3 Engage follows a clear, repeatable digital process that enables organisations to assess risk maturity consistently, capture evidence, and generate meaningful insights to support improvement over time. This is how it works:
Onboarding
Teams, users, and administrators are set up within the platform, organisational structures are established, and login credentials are issued to all participating individuals.
Distribution
The RM3 assessment is launched digitally and shared with selected participants, enabling real-time tracking of engagement and completion as responses are submitted.
Assessment
Participants complete their allocated RM3 criteria through a personal portal, progressing through maturity levels and submitting supporting evidence that feeds directly into the assessment dataset.
Reporting & insight
RM3 generates clear reporting that compares current maturity against target levels, breaks down performance by criteria and team, and produces prioritised action plans to support focused improvement.
Business outcomes & actions

Respondents
Respondents contribute to the RM3 assessment through a fair, balanced process, with the option to remain fully anonymous if requested. Each respondent is assigned an equal share of criteria based on the size and structure of the team being assessed, ensuring broad and representative input across the organisation.
Respondents access the platform through their own secure account, where they can view assigned criteria alongside clear guidance explaining what is being assessed. They progress through the five maturity levels by responding to statements as either Agree or Disagree. Where an undesirable response is selected, the system records the achieved maturity level and moves the respondent to the next criterion. Once completed, responses and evidence are compiled into the organisation-wide assessment dataset.

RM3 Engage has two licensing options, the first is an ‘all you can eat’ license which allows for unlimited access throughout the year meaning you can conduct as many assessments as you like, these can be a combination of official assessments or spot check assessments. The second license option is on a per assessment basis, better for smaller organisations who will only conduct 1-3 assessments throughout the year.
The platform digitises the entire RM3 process — from assessment deployment and response collection to action tracking and performance reporting — making it faster, more consistent, and data-driven.
